TITLE: Civil Engineer/Construction Site Supervisor

TERM:  Full-time

OPEN TO/ ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:  All interested candidates.

START DATE/ TIME:  March 2016

DURATION:  Long-term with 1 month of probation period.

LOCATION:  Yerevan, Armenia

JOB DESCRIPTION:  The Civil Engineer is responsible for supervising the activities of the General contractor of construction of high voltage line in his relevant area assigned and all the duties related to construction supervision.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise all construction activities in the assigned area on daily, weekly and monthly bases;
  • Interfere in special problematic situations with Contractor in order to ensure problem solving;
  • Ensure accurate cooperation with Client;
  • Follow-up on progress of construction;
  • Conduct periodical meetings with Contractor to discuss the main problems and suggestions;
  • Solve pending problems according to the local and international construction rules;
  • Ensure systematical visits;
  • Follow up on Client complaints;
  • Ensure the accurate implementation and solution of escalated matters;
  • Follow up on proper work flow organization;
  • Make weekly and monthly reports on the quality and progress of construction
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree or equivalent degree and professional certification in construction/civil engineering;
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in construction supervision;
  • Understanding of local and international construction norms and rules;
  • Fluency in English and Armenian languages;
  • Excellent communication, negotiating and analytical skills;
  • Excellent team working skills;
  • Conflict and stress management skills;
  • Time and work planning skills.

TITLE: Solar PV Expert

TERM:  Full-time

OPEN TO/ ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:  All interested candidates.

START DATE/ TIME:  ASAP

DURATION:  Long-term with 1 (one) month of probation period.

LOCATION:  Yerevan, Armenia

JOB DESCRIPTION:

   Solar PV expert will be responsible for coordination of all project related activities with the Client and Consultant, local institutions and organizations as well as interested stakeholders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate project activities with Consultant on daily basis for weekly and monthly project progress update;
  • Communicate and supervise project activities related to engagement of local subcontractors;
  • Intervene with specific assistance required by Client and Consultant;
  • Ensure on-time and accurate implementation of project activities implemented by the Company;
  • Assess the Consultant in its reporting activities, evaluate reports if asked by the Consultant and provide recommendations to undertake necessary actions for efficient and quality work;
  • Assist the Consultant in following up Client’s complaints;
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports to Project Director;
  • Maintain proper team work with related tasks of the Company, and follow work ethics and regulations of the Company.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least MSc or equivalent degree and professional certification in solar power, renewable energy or electrical engineering;
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in designing/developing and implementing solar power plant projects covering design, procurement or construction;
  • Excellent knowledge of using solar PV software and plant planning tools;
  • Have good command of PV standards and proven experience on resource assessment and calculation of energy yield for solar PV projects;
  • Excellent knowledge of English;
  • Ability and experience of local coordination of the project;
  • Experience of working within international team of experts.
