Civil Engineering
EA Energy Advisory provides a broad range of services in support of civil engineering tasks implemented in the energy sector of Armenia. Our experts have experience in all phases of planning, design, construction, and operation for energy sector, water, wastewater, dams, and transportation infrastructure projects.
EA Energy Advisory offers the following contribution to civil engineering services:
- Assistance in preparation of preliminary design for main works, preparation of tender documents for supply and installation contract(s) (Plant, Design and Build) for all works
- Review and finalize the preliminary scope of rehabilitation and construction works
- Review and comment on all aspects of design and standards proposed by Contractor
- Transfer of knowledge of Armenian relevant codes of practice and standards to be applied for construction of energy and water infrastructure construction projects
- Review and compile as-built drawings and review the operation and maintenance manual provided by the Contractor for accuracy and adequacy.

Geotechnical investigations
Geotechnical investigations represent an important predesign and design phase of state-of-art projects implemented in the energy sector.
EA Energy Advisory offers complex services of geological investigations needed for construction and rehabilitation of new energy facilities, including but not limited to:
- Site geological investigations
- Providing description of basic geological conditions along the site/route (rock, fault, land slide)
- Engineering risk assessment
- Foundation investigations and design compliance
- Corridor route evaluations for power transmission lines, access roads and gas pipelines
- Conducting soil engineering-geological investigation for a representative sample of potential locations of new or rehabilitated facilities, such as gas pipelines, power plants, HV substations and power lines
- Mechanical and resistivity tests in the site/corridor of proposed power plant/substation/line and gas pipeline
- Ground water and dewatering requirements
- Geotechnical laboratory testing on soil and rock samples, including results of chemical analyses on soil or groundwater
- Confirming the viability of the route for newly planned power plant/substation/line and gas pipeline
- Determining the form/type of required foundations for future facility (control rooms buildings, HV substation units, HV towers etc)
- Construction quality assurance, including construction material evaluations

EA Energy Advisory offers various services to help create a safe, reliable, and environmentally sound energy and water facilities.
We specialize in providing full support in designing innovative energy systems required in implementation of mechanical and electrical design for energy and water infrastructure projects, namely:
- Collection of data, information and plans concerning the existing transmission line sections and substations (diagrams, construction plans, planning documents, detailed drawings of the facilities)
- Capacity and demand analysis
- Transfer of knowledge of Armenian mechanical and electrical codes of practice and standards applied in the energy and infrastructure sectors
- Electrical power monitoring systems and SCADA
- Review of prepared mechanical and electrical designs and specifications
- Reconstruction of any additional drawings required for project implementation
- Inspect existing facilities as well as proposed substation sites and proposed transmission line routes
- Condition assessment of existing overhead gas pipeline and high-voltage line equipment
- Outline specifications for all plant and equipment for project executing agency review/approval
