Environmental and Social Impact Assessment

EA Energy Advisory provides services in carring out of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for development projects. This includes preparation of an extended report that will contain background information, baseline data describing bio-physical environment, identification of sensitive receptors within a project impact area, description of environmental and social risks, measures for mitigating identified risks, and institutional arrangements for applying of and monitoring compliance with these mitigation measures.
Monitoring of EMP and RAP Compliance
EA Energy Advisory provides RAPs/LARPs external monitoring and compliance reports preparation and EMP monitoring services for development projects, including those supporting by international financial institutions.
RAP COMPLIANCEThe Compliance Report preparation includes final assessment of the overall compliance of RAP/LARP implementation with the terms of the relevant Resettlement Action Plan and Project Resettlement Framework. Preparation of each compliance report includes significant field work, interviews and discussions with PAPs and other local stakeholders such as local authorities and community members.
If RAP implementation is not satisfactory, or fully compliant with project requirements, the necessary corrective measures will be developed and detailed in the Compliance Report by our integrated team of social/resettlement, environmental and legal experts.
Monitoring of EMP inludes baseline monitoring, data collection and regular environmental and safety monitoring. The regular environmental monitoring contains the planned activities for checking and/or comparing the effectiveness of the mitigation measures for prevention and control of the negative impacts of projects. Monitoring consists of routine reviews and monitoring to compare the findings with the baseline data and thresholds during:
- the construction phase,
- the post-construction phase.
Monitoring is implemented through regular monitoring site visits of environmental experts and engineers.
Resettlement Action Plan
EA Energy Advisory provides services in Resettlement Policy Framework and Resettlement Action Plan preparation for development projects in the energy and water infrastructure sectors. This involves the preparation of RAP/RPF acceptable to the client and the relevant IFI. The document incorporates data generated by resettlement screening, inventory of losses, socio-economic census, legalization and consultation processes.
